| Heating: The cottage
is "all electric" with enough appliances for the coldest weather. Water
is heated by an electric immersion heater. Beds
have interior spring mattresses, two pillows per person, duvets
and a tweed bedcovers.
Blankets are also available.
Kitchen area has an
electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator with a 2-star freezer
compartment, automatic kettle and toaster. Laundry: Shared use
of washing machine, tumble dryer, electric iron and ironing board is
available in small laundry room at no extra charge. There is also an
outside drying line with pegs. Linen:
Sheets, duvet covers, pillow
cases, table-cloth, tea towels, bath towels, 2 hand towels and bathmat
are included in the rent. Cots: We can
supply a drop-side cot (no extra charge but no bedding). We also have a
raised seat attachment (Mothercare) available on request. Dogs: Generally we
welcome pets but please let us know when you reserve a cottage if you
wish to bring one. Owners are asked not to leave them unattended in the
cottage, to keep them off the furniture, on a lead within the grounds
and to bring their own bedding. Bicycles can be stored
under cover on request. They can also be hired and delivered
to your door.
Telephone: This is
available at the main house for emergencies. Public kiosks are in the
village. Food supplies: Advance
orders from the local shops can be delivered on the day you arrive. See
village services. Information and detailed
maps on footpaths and bicycle tracks that lead into the neighbouring
Abernethy Forest are in the cottage, and on activities/attractions in
the area. Electricity
is charged per unit according to the meter reading (settle up on
